About this bursary
This bursary is for undergraduate students who are starting their course at the University of 麻豆果冻传媒 in academic year 2020-21 and who are normally resident in England or an EU country. This bursary is also for students on non-salaried designated PGCE courses.
The award is a cash bursary of £500 in each year of study.
Students on part-time courses studying between 30 and 90 credits during the year, who meet the other criteria will receive a pro rata cash bursary in each year of study.
The bursary will be paid in two equal instalments in January 2021 and May 2021.
Alternative financial support
If you are a care leaver or an estranged student you will not be eligible for the University of 麻豆果冻传媒 bursary but alternative support may be available:
Student Support Fund
If you experience short term financial hardship you can apply for additional help from the Student Support Fund.
Who is eligible?
To be eligible for this bursary, you must be a full-time student starting your course in academic year 2020–21.
You must also be:
- starting a full-time undergraduate or designated non-salaried PGCE course in academic year 2020-21
- have a residual household income of up to £25,000 per year
- meet one of the following residency and Student Finance England criteria
- be normally resident in England and assessed as eligible to receive the full package of tuition fee and maintenance loans from Student Finance England
- be normally resident in an EU country and assessed as eligible to receive a tuition fee loan from Student Finance England
- not be in receipt of our care leavers' or estranged students' bursary
- students on part-time courses studying between 30 and 90 credits during the year who meet the other criteria will receive a pro rata bursary.
Your eligibility for this bursary will be re-assessed each academic year.
Exceptions
Students in receipt of other bursaries or grants may not be eligible for this bursary.
Students who repeat a year of study will not be eligible for additional bursary funding during their repeat year.
How to apply
You do not need to make a separate application to be considered for this bursary, unless you are an EU student, as we use the information you have provided to UCAS and Student Finance England to assess your eligibility. EU students need to complete the EU Higher Education Bursary application form provided by the EU team at Student Finance England when you apply for a tuition fee loan.
Please make sure that you:
- apply for your student tuition fee loan, as soon as you can. Applications open in spring term 2020
- apply for your means-tested maintenance loan (students resident in England only)
- (EU students only, not UK) complete the EU Higher Bursary application form provided by the EU team at
- agree to Student Finance England sharing the information
- contact Student Finance England if you are not sure whether you have given this permission.
